The Rivian 2022 R1S SUV is the company’s second production model and one of the few three-row EVs available, making it a desirable alternative for families interested in going electric.
The 128.9 kWh battery pack in the R1S, which the EPA estimates is adequate for 316 miles of driving on a single charge, is one of many features that it has in common with the R1T pickup. The R1S has a lot of peps thanks to its 835-horsepower quad-motor drivetrain. Although the ride is stiff, the handling is surprisingly nimble for a vehicle of this size.
